On the 12th conference of International Society for Salt Lake Research held in Langfang, Hebei province from 14th-18th July, Chonfar’s application has been formally accepted and became one of the official members of the society.
The conference was co-held by International Society for Salt Lake Research and Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, invited more than 260 representatives from a dozen of countries. Xie Chao, a doctor-degree holder from Chonfar, participated in the conference.
During the conference, topic of “Salt Lake in the Future. The Global Sustainable Research and Development” has been researched and investigated in the respect of geology, salinology, biology, salt-resources exploration and development, ecology and environmental protection. Xie Chao has been deeply involved in the discussions with experts, represented Chonfar’s honored achievements in the salt lake exploration in the past years, and demonstrated some of Chonfar’s scientific fruits in the Lithium extraction process from salt lake in Tibet. The experts in the conference gave high comments on the devotion of Chonfar on the salt lake exploration. The Phase Diagram of Lithium Salt Systems and Its Application in Extraction of Lithium from salt lake brine, written by Xie Chao has been quoted by the society symposium.
International Society for Salt Lake Research, shorten as ISSLR, established in 1979, is a series of professional conference on salt lake organized by ISSLR every three years. It aims at constructing an effective academic communication for the scientists on salt lake research across the world, promoting scientific utilization, effective management and protection by the whole community.
