On Aug 17, Li Jianwen, deputy director of the high-tech office of the Hunan Science and Technology Department, led a team of experts to Bluestar Changsha Design and Research Institute to check the National Torch Program undertaken by the institute. The program focuses on salt lake potassium resources development and comprehensive utilization as well as the construction of a service platform for high-tech industrialization.
At the appraisal meeting, Dr. Tan Zhihai, on behalf of the institute, made a detailed report on test construction and improvement, patent application and authorization, scientific personnel cultivation, and technical services. Experts spoke highly of the institute’s work after listening to the report. They were impressed by the institute’s successful bid to build Hunan’s potassium and derivatives engineering and technological research center. They concluded that the project has fulfilled the contract with flying colors and should pass its acceptance check.
At the meeting, Chen Bin, leader of the expert team, also suggested the Hunan Science and Technology Department report the social and economic benefits achieved by the institute in scientific innovation and technical services to the Ministry of Science and Technology, making it a model of the National Torch Plan.
